Fiscus, a do-good organisation based in Sunderland, is all about driving social change through impactful community projects. However, as with many organisations in the social sector, they faced a common challenge: how to effectively measure and communicate the impact of their work - More specifically their teen mum project. They needed a clear, strategic framework to guide their efforts and showcase their achievements. As such, they reached out to Big Issue Invest (for whom JMK & Co was an associate consultancy) to ask for impact measurement support.
The project focused on developing a comprehensive Theory of Change (ToC) document for Fiscus, so they could better determine the change they wanted to see in their community specifically for the teen mums who they support. The process was highly collaborative, ensuring that the final document truly reflected their vision and was something the whole team could understand and work towards.
Here's some of the benefits from the work we produced together:
TL;DR: This project was all about giving Fiscus the tools and clarity they needed to drive meaningful change in their community. By the end of our collaboration, they weren’t just better equipped to measure their impact—they had a clear, actionable strategy for making a difference, and the confidence to communicate the impact they'd had on local teen moms.
